Busy times for Bellshill & Mossend Scout Group - 11-11-2011
The scouts recently enjoyed a trip to the Scottish Parliament and National Museum of Scotland. The tour had been organised by Richard Lyle MSP (a former local councillor who helped the Group relocate to a new hall). Unfortunately Richard was at the SNP conference but his parliamentary assistant, Phillip Brown, was on hand to show the Scouts round. They had a chance to sit in Richard’s “pod” and one of the Scouts was lucky enough to sit in Alex Salmond’s seat in the debating chamber.
Last weekend the Scouts enjoyed a weekend camp at Fordell Firs. A few pictures will follow.
The Group will be holding a Family Quiz on November 25th.
Neil has been busy creating a great website for the group, its worth a look: www.1stbellshill.clyderegion.net
Congratulations also to Karen Megan (Beaver Leader) who recently married JG McManus (6th Motherwell). The group arranged a guard of honour with the kids.
