Sausage Sizzle - 07-06-2010

Sausage Sizzle 2010 

9th Wishaw held their annual "Sausage Sizzle" on Monday 7th June 2010. During the event the children enjoyed hot dogs and even got to cook their own marshmallows. The "Sausage Sizzle" was followed by a campfire and then a badge ceremony. The District Commissioner, Sandra Hamilton was the special guest and presented some Bronze and Silver Chief Scouts Awards.

Beaver Awards

• Three Beavers gained their Bronze Chief Scout Award
• Two beavers were enrolled into the Group
• Fourteen Beavers gained their Scottish Challenge Badge
• Five Beavers got their One Night Away badge
• Two Beavers gained their Five Nights Away badge
• Beaver joining on year badges were also given out

Cub Awards

• Three cubs gained their silver chief scout award
• Six Cubs gained their Scottish Challenge Badge
• Eight Cubs gained their Athletes Badge
• Two cubs gained their 10 nights away badge
• Two Cubs gained their five nights away
• Joining in badges were given out

Nineteen children also gained their one hike badge, which will be presented at the next group event.
