Leaders Weekend
A trip to Stanhope Hope Bothy (Grid Reference 131287 Sheet 72) has been organised for the weekend of the 23rd to 25th Apr. This event is open to all Calder District Adults over 18 and is a opportunity to meet other leaders from the district and exchange ideas for activities etc.
The Bothy will be open from about 7.00pm on Friday evening - Arrive and leave when it suits. The Bothy has WC, gas lights, gas cooker but no electricity, sleeping on wooden platforms, (please bring karrimats). Parking is 100yds from bothy. Food will be provided, so please contact Mike Corbett by email if you would like to attend and when?

Calder District Swimming Gala
This years swimming gala will take place on Fri 20th Nov in the Sir Matt Busby Sports Complex, Bellshill.
All the funds raised will go to Children In Need.

"Christmas Carol Service"
This year's "Christmas Carol Service" will be held in the New St Andrew's Church in Coatbridge. The event will take place on Tue the 8th Dec at 7pm.
There will be a rehearsal on Sun 6th Dec in the Church at 2:30pm. All groups attending should bring their group flags with them to the rehearsal.
This years nominated charity will be the "Malawi Fund".
JOTI in Calder District
JOTI (Jamboree On The Internet) will take place this year on Sat 17th Oct & Sun 18th October.
Would you like to get involved or find out what it's all about? 3rd Shotts Scout Group will be online the whole weekend (from midnight Friday 16th Oct to midnight Sunday 18th Oct 2009).
They have contacted us with an open offer for anyone that wants to come along and take part over the course of the weekend.
